शैलीमुळे कालातीत ठरणाऱ्या पुलंच्या रेडिओवरील श्रुतिका - रजनीश जोशी

पु. ल. देशपांडे यांनी रेडिओ माध्यमासाठी काम करताना केलेलं लेखन त्या त्या काळातलं आहे. त्यांनी त्यातून मांडलेले विषय तत्कालिक आहेत. पण त्यांची शैली मात्र कालातीत आहे. रेडिओच्या श्रोत्यांशी संवाद साधणारं लेखन कसं असलं पाहिजे, याचा वस्तूपाठ म्हणजे त्यांचं श्रुतिका लेखन आणि भाषणं. पु. ल. स्मृतिग्रंथासाठी लिहिलेल्या लेखातील काही भाग !साल होतं १९५५. नाशिक जिल्ह्यातल्या मालेगावच्या माळरानाचं नंदनवन

आता बाबाही थकले, आम्हीही थकलो. पण एक काळ असा होता की त्या वेळी आनंदवनात वर्षातून निदान एक तरी फेरी होतच असे. प्रत्येक वेळी आम्हांला काहीतरी नवं दाखवायची योजना बाबांच्या मनात असे आणि त्या उत्साहातच 'आनंदवन - कुटुंबियांकडून स्वागत होई. हा भाग्यलाभ आमच्या भाळी लिहिला गेल्याचा पोटभर आनंद घेऊनच आम्ही परत कधी यायचं तो बेत ठरवून आनंदवनाचा निरोप घेत असू. परतताना 'कन्या सासुरासी जाये, मागे परतुनी पाहे'

आठ नोव्हेंबर आणि बारा जून हे दोन दिवस पुलप्रेमींसाठी महत्त्वाचे आणि मनात विविध प्रकारचे कल्लोळ उठवणारे दिवस."कशाला आला होता हो बेळगांवात?" अशा स्वरूपाचा विदीर्ण टाहो काही जणं फोडत होती, असतील, रहातील - मनातल्या मनात.पुलोत्सव वगैरे आयोजित करणारी मंडळी आता साठीच्या आसपास असतील आणि उत्सव साजरे करण्याची सध्याची किंमत बघता, असे उत्सव साजरे न करणेच त्यांना योग्य वाटत असेल.आज तुम्ही हवे होता - असं वाटत

पंचनामा

सगळ्या पोलिसी व्यवहारात 'पंचनामा' हा तर एक अजब प्रकार आहे. नमुनेदार पंचनाम्यांचा संग्रह जर कुणी छापला, तर तो एक उत्तम विनोदी ग्रंथ होईल. एका चोरीच्या प्रकरणातला पंचनामा मला वाचायला मिळाला होता. त्यात हवालदारासाहेबांनी पहिलेच वाक्य लिहिले होते - “चोरट्यांनी मालकांची परवानगी न घेता घराच्या दक्षिण दिशेच्या खिडकीतून प्रवेश केला होता.” मी हवालदारांना विचारले, "अहो हवालदारसाहेब, चोर कधी आगाऊ परवानगी

प्रिय भा. द. 'हसरे दुःख' वाचून झाले. ह्यापूर्वीच पत्र पाठवायला हवे होते. परंतु गेले दोन- तीन महिने फार गडबडीचे गेले. त्यामुळे निवांतपणे पत्र लिहिणे जमले नाही. त्यातून हल्ली मला जडलेल्या कंपवाताच्या विकारामुळे हात थरथरतो आणि लेखन कष्टदायक होते. दुर्वाच्यही होते. लिहिण्यातला उत्साह ओसरतो. नाईलाज आहे. चॅप्लिन हा विनोदी लेखक, नट, चित्रपट-दिग्दर्शक. अशा कलावंतांचा परात्पर गुरु आहे. त्यांच्या

साता वारांची कहाणी - हसवणूक

सोमवार हा अत्यंत अरसिक वार! त्याला फक्त पोटासाठी लोकांना राबायला लावायचे, इतकेच माहीत. सोमवार हा पिशवी घेऊन वावरत असतो. ह्या वाराचे आणि मोहकपणाचे वावडे आहे. एवढेच नाही, तर हा अत्यंत रुक्ष आहे. हा मासे खात नाही. तसा गुरुवारदेखील कांदा खात नाही. उपास करतो. पण दत्ताचा पेढा खातो, शिकरण खातो. सोमवारला तेही सुख पचत नाही. आदल्या दिवशी रविवार झालेला असतो. त्यामुळे ह्या वाराला पक्वान्न नाही - काही नाही.
